Fernando Alonso has declared he will finish his career at Ferrari. This may seem a bit premature for him to be making such a declaration before his Ferrari tenure has even started let alone the 2010 season. Michael Schumacher whom most believed would never leave the Ferrari stable has now joined rivals Mercedes in a come back. Even Kimi Raikkonen did partially look to stay in F1 with another team.
As fans of Fernando we appeal to his better judgement to be cautious into making such bold statements as it can come back to haunt him if he has to leave Ferrari if they don’t provide him with a winning car.
“I’m 100 per cent sure.”
“For any driver, coming to Ferrari is the best thing you can do in your career,” Alonso added.
“It’s almost impossible to find the motivation to race for another team after racing for Ferrari, because you will never find the same environment or have the same feeling due to its history.
“It’s a legendary team represented by the prancing horse. Of course I feel calm now because I’ve achieved one of my goals.”
This certainly raises eye-borrows as Schumacher has found the motivation to come back with Mercedes. So Alonso’s comments maybe dismissed as bravado and wee bit premature.
